That same day, we’ll pick you up at your hotel to begin the Lima city tour. The first stop will be the Parque del Amor, located on the Miraflores boardwalk, with a privileged view of the ocean. We’ll then head to the Plaza Mayor to walk through the Historic Center and visit a church that preserves catacombs from colonial times.
Day 2 – Gastronomic Lima
The gastronomic tour in Lima will allow you to taste more than 14 Peruvian flavors, including ceviche, causa limeña, lomo saltado, empanadas, local desserts, and typical drinks such as pisco sour and traditional refreshments. Day 4 – Heading to the Colca Canyon
From Arequipa, we’ll take the route northeast, with a first stop at the Quiscos Uyupampa viewpoint. We’ll then enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to see vicuñas and the high-Andean landscape. In Patahuasi, we’ll enjoy a coca tea before continuing toward the Toccra wetlands and the Volcanoes Viewpoint (4,910 m).
We’ll descend to Chivay for lunch and, in the afternoon, visit the Chacapi hot springs. We’ll end the day with a dinner and folkloric show featuring traditional dances of the Colca.
Day 5 – Colca Canyon + Chivay → Puno
We’ll leave Chivay for the Cruz del Cóndor, making stops in Yanque, Achoma, Maca, Choquetico, Antahuilque, and Wayrapunku to enjoy viewpoints, ancient terraces, and hanging tombs. At the Cruz del Cóndor we’ll have time to watch the condors in flight and take in the canyon views. Then we’ll take a walk of about 45 minutes and return to Chivay. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey to Puno.
Day 6 – Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquile
Lake Titicaca, located at 3,812 m in the Andean highlands, is the highest navigable lake in the world and the largest freshwater lake in South America. During the visit, we’ll explore the floating islands of Uros and then Taquile Island, where you’ll get to know their culture and traditions up close.
Day 7 – Route of the Sun: Puno → Cusco
On this day we’ll travel to Cusco on a tourist bus, making several stops along the way. We’ll visit Andahuaylillas, known for its church called the “Sistine Chapel of America”, and then Raqchi, the temple dedicated to the god Wiracocha. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey until we arrive in Cusco, where we’ll transfer you to your hotel.
Day 8 – Archaeological City Tour of Cusco
The tour begins with pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. We’ll start by visiting the Cathedral and the Temple of Santo Domingo – Qorikancha. We’ll then head out of the city to visit the Inca archaeological complexes of Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Qenqo, and Sacsayhuamán.
At the end of the visits, we’ll return to the city.
Day 9 – Sacred Valley: Pisaq + Ollantaytambo
The excursion begins in Chinchero and its traditional market. We’ll then visit the Maras salt mines and the terraces of Moray. After lunch in the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, we’ll continue to the fortress of Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon, we’ll board the tourist train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 10 – Machu Picchu (Full guided visit)
On this day we’ll take the Consettur bus one hour before your scheduled entrance time to Machu Picchu. The ride takes about 25 minutes to the gate of the citadel, where you’ll enjoy a private guided tour of about 2.5 hours.
After the visit, we’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, with free time for lunch. Then we’ll head to the station to take the train back to Cusco, where our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 11 – Free day in Cusco
This day is completely free for you to enjoy Cusco at your own pace. We recommend walking along some of the city’s most picturesque streets, such as Siete Borreguitos and Sapantiana, perfect for slow strolls and great photos. You can also visit the famous Twelve-Angled Stone, explore museums and craft markets, and take the opportunity to do some shopping.
