Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Upon your arrival in Peru, we’ll be waiting for you at the international airport to transfer you to your hotel, where you can leave your luggage and rest. You’ll have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your own pace. Since your hotel will be in Miraflores or Barranco, you’ll be close to key attractions, shops, parks, and great spots to enjoy the ocean views.
Day 2: Ballestas Islands and Huacachina Oasis
Early in the morning, we’ll head south along the coast to enjoy one of Peru’s most popular day trips. You’ll cruise around the Ballestas Islands, where you can see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a wide variety of seabirds in their natural habitat. Then we’ll continue to the Huacachina Oasis, a unique spot surrounded by giant sand dunes — perfect for relaxing, taking unforgettable photos, or enjoying an adrenaline-filled ride in dune buggies and trying sandboarding.
Day 3: Lima city tour and flight to Cusco
You’ll start the day exploring Lima’s main highlights, combining history and modern life. You’ll visit the historic center with its plazas, churches, and colonial balconies, and also see the city’s more contemporary districts. After lunch, we’ll head to the airport to catch your flight to Cusco. These first days in the Andes will be focused on acclimatization, and since your hotel is in the historic center, you’ll be able to stroll through its streets and plazas at your own rhythm.
Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Today you’ll discover one of the most important regions of the Inca legacy. You’ll visit traditional villages, handicraft markets, and archaeological sites such as Chinchero, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo, all set against breathtaking Andean landscapes. It’s the perfect day to experience living Andean culture, continue adjusting to the altitude, and enjoy a truly authentic experience in the heart of the former Inca Empire.
In the afternoon, we’ll board the train that takes us to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 5: Machu Picchu
This will be one of the most anticipated days of your trip. Early in the morning, you’ll head up to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. You’ll explore its temples, plazas, and terraces with a specialized guide, who will share the history and mysteries of this sacred city. You’ll have time to take photos, soak in the views, and really appreciate the site at your own pace.
In the afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco by train, and from Ollantaytambo a private transfer will take you back to your hotel.
Day 6: Rainbow Mountain
Today you’ll enjoy an unforgettable high-Andean adventure. We’ll leave around 4:00 a.m.; our transportation will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Cusipata, where we’ll stop for breakfast. We’ll then continue by road to the base of Rainbow Mountain, where the hike begins. You can go up on foot or hire a horse, motorbike, or ATV depending on availability and your preference. The views from the top, at more than 5,000 meters (16,400 ft) above sea level, are truly spectacular.
The descent takes less time than the climb, and our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata for lunch, and then straight on to Cusco. Once at the hotel, you’ll have time to relax and rest.
Day 7: Route of the Sun
Today we’ll travel from Cusco to Puno along the famous Route of the Sun, departing at around 6:00 a.m. Along the way, we’ll visit archaeological sites, colonial churches, and scenic viewpoints such as Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, and the La Raya Pass. It’s a cultural and scenic journey that will show you different faces of southern Peru. We’ll arrive in Puno in the evening.
Day 8: Lake Titicaca
You’ll sail across the highest navigable lake in the world to visit the famous floating islands of Uros and the island of Taquile. You’ll get a close look at the traditions of the local communities, their textiles, and their ancestral way of life. It’s a calm, cultural day — perfect for connecting with the essence of the Peruvian highlands.
